We also saw that Axis was replacing rope on the mast with Mitch from SF working hard five meters above the deck.
That’s real team work in Div. 1.
Not much to say about the start as most of the fleet where around the corner but we had clean air to get away. No1 course so to mark 6 was our first goal, passed Axis going up to see that had their big Red kite full running back to mark 1. SF was going to No1 with 6 crew on board, will need to now watch both Axis and SF. The next forty minutes found us in the same positions except the gaps between each boat became shorter. Back to No 6 for the last time was where we made inroads on Axis, but getting past Speed is not easy he knows how to cover, take your breeze and be a pest in a nice way. We got past him with only Mark 3 and the Finish line to reach. The question was now could SF do the same to both of us and take home the wine. We crossed the line enjoying the Handicap start and a great day’s sailing.
