With Jim unable to sail we replaced him with Barry's son Paul. Then at the last minute Barry was also unable to sail. So two up again. With a sunny day and N/E breeze and with Next Light starting, it was a fleet of 5 Div 1 boats. With Jim unable to sail we replaced him with Barry's son Paul. Then at the last minute Barry was also unable to sail. So two up again. With a sunny day and N/E breeze and with Next Light starting, it was a fleet of 5 Div 1 boats. The starter picked course 7 to Goat Island. Willo on L.O.E.G winning the Baz trophy being first to Searles. We had a party boat and cruiser getting in the way of the fleet from Gladesville Bridge and Wright's Point and then dodging lots of small sailing boat's from Cockatoo to Long Nose Point. It was around Goat Island and back up the river. With the two Adam's not setting spinnaker's meant we were still with them at No1 mark. With a bit of north in the gusty breeze we didn't tack until Abbotsford wharf then around No 5 mark. It was a reach to Abbotsford Point then spinnaker up to No1 mark then one leg with no tacks to finish. L.O.E.G was lucky to finish first after almost being taken out by Next Light just before S.F finishing second, and third A.O.E. Handicap 1 A.O.E 2 Resurgent 3 L.O.E.G Thank you to Paul for great job as fill in crew and doing it without wearing gloves.
