Back down the harbour under full spinnaker all the way from Bradleys Head with 4 or 5 jibes but no problems other than a diminishing breeze. Bless the Handicapper!
Unfortunately skipper Carolyn was unwell but her generosity and faith in the crew had Xena Warrior Princess cross the starting line, without her, merely a second or two after the hooter........ Very light breeze and it was only the tide that took us to Searle’s. Here the breeze picked up a little, Farago went into overdrive and disappeared into the distance. Even the Div. 1 fleet all slipped past before we had passed Hunters Hill wharf. Even in the light breeze pesky Wind falls kept with us tack for tack almost to Cockatoo. Then we managed to get into a better tidal flow and we got clear. Breeze freshened a little more and it was great and uneventful sailing all the way to Taylors Bay.
